About

Born and raised in Kamikatsu, Terumi is the chef and owner of Cafe polestar, a Zero Waste accredited business in Kamikatsu. Her mother, Hitomi Azuma, was one of the founding members of the Zero Waste program in Kamikatsu, and her passion for sustainability became a great inspiration in Terumi’s life.

What Terumi loves about Kamikatsu is that despite it being such a small town, there are so many possibilities. With this in mind, it shows that we can truly change anything we want. For Terumi, zero waste means finding the balance between how we use our time, effort, and money without using any of those resources wastefully.

代表社員 徳島県上勝町出身。関西学院大学総合政策学部在学中よりルーマニアの環境NGOや、東京での地域のアンテナショップ企画のインターンを経験。大学卒業後、上勝町へ戻りRDNDを起業。2013年「五感で上勝町を感じられる場所」をコンセプトに「カフェ・ポールスター」をオープン。2020年ゼロ・ウェイストをベースとした上勝町滞在型プログラム「INOW（イノウ）」を共同創業者としてスタートさせる。2021年上勝町よりゼロ・ウェイスト計画策定事業を受託し、計画策定中。その他、NPO法人ゼロ・ウェイストアカデミー理事、上勝町ゼロ・ウェイスト推進委員、上勝町総合戦略会議委員をつとめる。
