Cancellation Policy 

At INOW, the safety of our guests and our community is of utmost importance to us. Since we are located in the middle of a small village where over fifty percent of the population is elderly, we will run all our programs in accordance with Tokushima prefectural health orders, and our participants will adhere to all safe gathering guidelines that are recommended at the time. If for any reason it is not possible to run the program following the guidelines set out at the time, then INOW would cancel or change the program (for example, modifying the type of activities or changing the program’s length). If INOW decides to cancel or change a program for any reason, including because of COVID-19, then we will give you about two weeks’ notice (if possible) and one of the following (your choice):

  1. INOW credit to join a program at a later date
  2. 100% refund

Please keep in mind programs also have to meet a minimum participant number to run. Your business is really important to us, especially in this moment of uncertainty. If you are willing and able to turn your reservation into a credit that can be used for any of our services anytime in the next two years, we would be very grateful for your support. This will allow us to use these funds to offset the costs incurred by the impact of the pandemic.

Please check with your airline about its cancellation policy. INOW is not responsible for travel reservations booked to attend cancelled programs.

Booking Procedure

We require a non-refundable deposit of 20% of your total program fee at the time of booking.

If you cancel at least 5 days prior to arrival a ¥5,000 processing fee will be applied and the remaining balance becomes an INOW credit available for two years. If you have INOW credit, you can use it towards any of our services within 2 years of the date of issue.

Reservations cancelled within 5 days of your arrival date will forfeit the entire deposit.

The remaining program fee balance must be paid in full either one day before arrival or upon arrival in Kamikatsu. You can choose to pay by bank transfer, PayPal, or in cash or credit upon arrival. 

COVID-19 Health & Safety

INOW is continually working to ensure a safe space for our guests. We are taking proactive measures to limit the spread of COVID-19. We are deeply aware of the physical and mental toll that the pandemic has had, and continues to have, on many individuals, and we are doing our best to stay strong and take necessary precautions so Kamikatsu can continue to welcome those in need of meaningful connections with ourselves, each other, and the natural environment.

We will have enhanced safety measures based on the latest health information provided by the Ministry of Health. We are constantly updating our practices in accordance with updated information.

Guests who are fully vaccinated will be asked to provide proof of vaccination prior to their arrival to Kamikatsu. Guests who are partially vaccinated or not vaccinated are required to take an Antigen or PCR test for COVID-19, 24 hours prior to arrival to Kamikatsu. Guests must carry proof of negative results.

In our pre-arrival communications, we are asking guests to self-identify they display symptoms or belong to an at-risk group of COVID-19. In the case that guests feel unwell, we ask that you postpone your travels until the risk period has passed. We ask all our guests to arrive healthily.

Our standard cancellation policy, stated above, will be in effect for all pandemic related cancellations, including but not limited to feeling sick, testing positive for COVID-19, and being unable to travel due to closed borders. Prior to arrival, if you start to show COVID-19 symptoms it is recommended that you self-isolate immediately and contact us to discuss the cancellation policy.
